This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect the personal data of users who engage with our interactive videos created with the Morphcast AI Interactive Media Platform.
1. Collection of Personal Data
While using our interactive video, we collect certain personal information through voice recognition to enhance the user experience. We use the browser’s Web Speech API to convert voice into text, which is then sent to the ChatGPT model to generate a written response.
1.1 Data Collected
- Voice Data: The user’s voice is temporarily used to transcribe speech into text. The transcription takes place on the browser provider’s servers (as indicated in the following section).
- Text Transcriptions: The text generated from the voice transcription is sent to ChatGPT for generating a response.
1.2 Browsers and Third-Party Services
- Google Chrome: When using Google Chrome, voice data is sent to Google Cloud servers for transcription. Google may use this data to improve its services, but with guarantees of anonymity and security. Users can manage their voice data through their Google account.
- Safari: When using Safari, voice data is transmitted to Apple’s proprietary servers. Apple does not use voice data for profiling or targeted advertising and is committed to protecting user privacy by associating the data with a random identifier.
- Other browsers: Other browsers may behave similarly, using their proprietary servers or third-party servers for transcription.
2. Use of Personal Data
The data collected is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Video Interaction: To enable speech transcription and generate interactive responses through ChatGPT.
- Speech Synthesis: It is used solely to synthesize predefined (hardcoded) phrases that do not depend on the user’s specific personal information, but only on the responses given during the interaction.
3. Data Retention
The personal data collected (voice and text transcriptions) is not retained beyond the time necessary to complete the video interaction. We do not store any personal information of the user after the interactive session.
4. Data Sharing
The data collected is shared only with the third-party services necessary for voice transcription and response processing, as indicated above (Google, Apple, or other browser providers). We do not sell or share the user’s personal data with other entities for commercial purposes.
5. User Rights
Users have the right to:
- Access and Rectification: Request access to their personal data and the correction of any errors, if applicable.
- Deletion: Request the deletion of their personal data, if applicable.
- Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent to the use of their personal data at any time, with future effect, if applicable.
Since we do not retain any data beyond the time necessary to complete the video interaction, these rights are automatically fulfilled.
6. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the updated date. Users are encouraged to check this page periodically for any changes.
