It means that by default we do not set marketing or analytics cookies. During normal browsing only strictly necessary technical cookies are present (legalAckCookie, 24 hours; cf_bm, 30 minutes). If you choose optional features such as Page Translation or Portal sign-in, the relevant providers (e.g., Google for reCAPTCHA/Translate and the SSO you select like Apple/Yahoo/Microsoft) may set cookies on their own domains strictly to deliver that feature.
We take a privacy-first approach. We avoid third-party tracking technologies by default and keep only the minimal, strictly necessary data to run the site safely. Optional features are opt-in by use: if you don’t use them, no provider cookies are set.
No. We do not run third-party analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), ad pixels or social media trackers. However, when you explicitly use Translation or access the Portal sign-in, third-party providers (Google for reCAPTCHA/Translate; Google/Apple/Yahoo/Microsoft for SSO) place cookies required for those specific services. These are not used by us for advertising.
Basic browsing is unaffected. If you do not use Translation or Portal sign-in, no third-party cookies are set. If you activate Translation, Google will set its own cookies to provide the translation. If you sign in to the Portal, reCAPTCHA and your chosen SSO provider will set cookies that are necessary for secure authentication; without them, sign-in cannot work.
By default we set two first-party technical cookies: legalAckCookie (24 hours) to store that you’ve seen our legal/territorial disclaimer, and cf_bm (30 minutes) from CloudFront to protect the site against bots and ensure reliability. On-demand we may set functional storage keys: vf_deviceId (localStorage, ~6 months) and vf_session (sessionStorage) when you open/use the Voiceflow chat, and the translation preference cookie googtrans (session) after you choose a language. If you use Translation or Portal sign-in, providers such as Google (reCAPTCHA/Translate) and, if selected, Apple/Yahoo/Microsoft (SSO) set their own cookies on their domains to deliver those features.
We do not use cross-site tracking or third-party analytics. We rely on aggregate, privacy-preserving server-side statistics and short-lived server logs for security/uptime (see the Privacy & Cookie Policy for retention). No analytics cookies are set. For details, read our Privacy & Cookie Policy.
We have dedicated notices for each form. You can find them at the bottom of the forms or at: contact form privacy policy – feedback and abuse report form privacy policy.
We enforce TLS 1.2+, edge WAF/rate-limiting, and use reCAPTCHA on sign-in to prevent abuse. We minimize data collection, do not run third-party analytics or ad pixels, and retain logs only as described in the Policy. Our infrastructure partners hold SOC 2 Type II reports.
